Akwa Ibom State suspends International Students’ Day Celebration

Aftermath of Covid-19 19, ASUU strike, lockdown, makes Akwa Ibom state to suspend their International Student’s Day Celebration.

This year’s International Student’s Day celebration in the state has been suspended because of  the current mood of the nation and students community, caused majorly by the closure of tertiary institutions resulting from the disagreements between the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities and other welfare issues propelled by the new demands of post-COVID existence.

The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs Enoobong Mbobo apologizes for the inconveniences which this postponement will cause but has assured that all issues relating to education will be seriously discussed in the next State EXCO meeting which is on Wednesday this week.

Signed:

Uduak Ana Eyo Information Officer

For: Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Education.
