OAU exam continues despite ongoing ASUU strike

Obafemi Awolowo university (OAU) commences semester exam despite the fact that ASUU strike is still ongoing.

Some departments/courses in OAU has continued with exam and remainder academic activities for 2017/2018 second semester despite the ongoing industrial action by Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

Although some staff of the school still comply with the strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, some departments however are carrying on with academics as they have lecturers who are not members of the ASUU. The lecturers said they are members of the Congress Of Nigeria University Academics, CONUA, adding that the industrial action was not binding on them.

Recall that the school started exam for the second semester on Monday and reports have it that exam has continued so far.

The latest ASUU strike which started November last year is still ongoing as the union continues trying to sort things out with the federal government while students have been kept out of school for almost 3 months now.
